PPP Academics

What our students say: Not only is it important to medical schools to see that you have performed under the same conditions as any other student on the premed "track", but it can be important to yourself to see that you can succeed in a large, challenging academic environment. What is great about the USC Postbacc Program though is how much everyone cooperates to help each other do the best they can. This can be an extremely valuable benefit if you have been away from academics for a while.

--Arthur Palmer, PPP 2006

At USC, PPP students are consistently being challenged intellectually in the classroom and in the laboratory. Courses provide an essential introduction to the life sciences and, more importantly, offer students an understanding of the process of scientific inquiry - essential skills necessary for medical diagnoses.

Courses also often delve into the relevant topics of the day making right now the ideal time to study the premedical sciences. The revolutionary advancements that are just beginning in stem cell research, genomics and other fields will prove to be of utmost importance to medicine's future.
