What our students say: No matter what you’re interested in, you can find it here. Being in a major metropolitan area such as Los Angeles means that not only is there enormous potential for research and shadowing, but also that you can reach out to communities that can hugely benefit from your efforts. It is an incredibly dynamic place to be.
--Amy Cummings, PPP 2008
We believe that what you do outside of the classroom is often just as important as what you do on the inside. Throughout our program, students are given ample time to explore and pursue their professional interests in the greater Los Angeles area and around the world. By working with underserved populations, participating in formal rotational programs, conducting research and volunteering in the community, students not only come to understand the academic, ethical and service-centered dedication that is essential for a career in medicine, but also uniquely qualify themselves as future applicants.
